Typesetting Punctuation

• Ellipses

Change from ellipse character (... or ....) to typesetting standard ( . . . ) or ( . . . . ) depending on your preferred method of punctuation (some authors prefer to have an additional punctuation if it’s the end of a sentence.)

• Hyphens and Dashes

Hyphens (-) are used in hyphenated words and phone numbers

En-dashes (–) are used between numbers or for a minus sign

Em-dashes (—) are used to indicate a sudden break or change of subject and at the beginning of an epigraph
